Since 1892, the grass valleys surrounding Thorganby Hall in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds have been home to the McTurk herd of Lincoln Red cattle. The Milligan-Manby family have farmed this land for four generations creating a legacy of wonderful woodland and rich parkland which makes a natural habitat for their native cattle.
They are justifiably proud of their richly coloured heritage herd of Lincoln Red cattle. This hardy breed, which dominated the county in the first half of the last century, has made a resounding return to popularity, as people have become more discerning and more demanding about everything they eat.
Lincoln Red beef is distinctively succulent- its internationally recognised marbled texture makes it strikingly tender, flavoursome and healthy.
These cattle are naturally reared on grass, with the cattle’s development and wellbeing closely monitored. |
